The 'Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria' - one of
the most popular Bulgarian Folk choirs today, is founded in 1994 by Emil Minev (producer) and Vanya Moneva (conductor).

This unique choir includes 18 female singers, carefully selected by numerous castings in different regions in Bulgaria, some of the best
soloists and young artists in the country.
The 'Cosmic Voices' singers characteristic female choir sound, which captivated the world, is typical for the Balkan culture. Performing music from various regions as well as an entire repertoire of
new works in the old tradition, the ravishing choir offers a delight that goes far beyond common folk music.

'Cosmic Voices' outstanding performances onstage are an expression of Modern Bulgarian art, which is open to the world. They have their
own unmistakable identity bearing the strong spiritual energy inherited from our ancestors. Bulgarian choir singing in the folk tradition draws on a millennia-old practice of rich sonorities,
complicated harmonies and driving rhythms found only in this part of the world. All of this has been updated by a group of gifted creators and by the magnificient choral singing of these women,
enriching the world’s musical horizon with their original, modern, highly artistic and vivid musical presence.

Having released its first CD 'The Choice' in 1994, the choir started to work with internationally acclaimed artists:
- Vesselina Kasarova (BMG Classic/Red Seal);
- Christian Kolonovits;
- Ikuko Kawai (JVC Victor Japan);
- Yoko Kanno (JVC Victor Japan).
The 'Bulgarian Soul' with Vesselina Kasarova earned the ECHO Award in 2004.

Documentary films about 'Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria' were shown on international TV channels:
- ARTE, ZDF (Germany);
- Channel 4 (U.K), presented by composer Howard Goodall.
'Cosmic Voices' recorded also some music for:
- the Italian film 'NOMAD II 2005', music by Carlo Siglotto;
